2021 Annual Meeting Information
Society for Pentecostal Studies
March 18-20, 2021
The King's University ⎮ Southlake, Texas
The Society for Pentecostal Studies welcomes you to the official information center for our 50th Annual Meeting. The host of this meeting is The King’s University in Southlake, Texas. The meeting will begin on the morning of Thursday, March 18 and end on Saturday evening of March 20, 2021. The Annual Meeting provides the opportunity for professionals involved in Pentecostalism to share knowledge and new directions in research and practice. Approximately 300 program sessions are convened during the three-day meeting held every spring to provide participation venues and networking outlets for Pentecostal educators and scholars. The 2021 meeting will be formatted as a hybrid conference to allow a wider range of participation due to travel and health restrictions resulting from Covid-19.
Registration is Open
The Society for Pentecostal Studies is excited to announce the 2021 Annual Meeting will be reformatted as a hybrid event on March 18-20, 2021. The conference will include the traditional in-person activities held on the campus of The King’s University in Southlake, TX. In addition to the in-person event, an interactive online virtual conference experience will be made available. This virtual participation is available for both presenters and participants. The hybrid format will maintain its customary parallel sessions and plenary keynote speakers but use a format that helps to ensure all members can enjoy the conference in a safe and meaningful way. This hybrid format also creates wider access for members who are experiencing ongoing restrictions for both local and international travel.
Attendees participating in-person will also have full access to the virtual conference platform. SPS members in COVID-19 high-risk categories (elders, immune-compromised individuals, and others deemed high risk by the CDC) are strongly encouraged to attend through the virtual access. All in-person attendees will be required to follow local recommended guidelines.
Whether attendees are participating in-person or virtually, the registration cost remains the same. Additional information on the annual meeting is available online. During the registration process, presenters and conference attendees will indicate their intended method of attendance, grant permission to record presentations, and indicate if you are equipped to present remotely. Additional information relating to the delivery of the hybrid conference is forthcoming.
The Society for Pentecostal Studies thanks our 2021 host, The King’s University, for their support of this transition. Registration is now open, and we look forward to a tremendous celebration of the 50th Annual Meeting for the Society.
